MAC Construction of Barron County

Welcome Home!

Mike Crotteau of MAC Construction has been constructing homes in the Rice Lake, Wisconsin area since 2001. Prior to starting his own construction business, Mike worked in the family-owned business in Rice Lake for almost twenty-five years with his father, Robert Crotteau.

In addition to new construction, MAC Construction has been involved in numerous remodeling projects. Mike believes that remodeling is becoming a better option for some as property--especially lake property--is a priority when considering your home. Remodeling allows the homeowner the flexibility to change the current home into an upscale living area.

Mike will definitely work with you, the homeowner, according to your plan. He has built such homes as a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired house which was designed by an architect in Spring Green, Wisconsin. He first met the homeowner at the building site, and was able to complete construction to the owner’s satisfaction with minimal visits from the homeowner. Now that's confidence in your builder!

Mike is an active member in the Rice Lake community and is a Charter member and past director with the Heart of the North Builders Association. He was the November 2006 recipient of the Exceptional Service Award presented to him by Dennis Zahrbock of Business and Estate Advisors, Inc.

Dave Lane, industrial supplier, states “Craftsmanship and ability to build to his customer’s needs is an ability I have seen in only a few contractors.  His main concern is to give his customers what they want and need while maintaining a high-quality finished product.  His background and long-lasting reputation is well known in Northwest Wisconsin.”

"The pride of this company, its owner and its crew, is not in the square footage but rather in the quality and attention to detail."
